Great place to go.. lots of selection and the slices are gigantic. 1/4 of a 19" pizza.. prices are great too. Will definitely try to go there again before we leave to go back home from our trip.
The sweet chili chicken is what I tried definitely a winner!!! -

We visited Sal's Pizza almost 3 weeks ago on a Friday afternoon. Our flight landed right after 12, and we did not get to downtown until almost 2. We were hungry and needed a quick bite to eat. Saw this place as we were in Boston Commons and walked over.
They had a lot of options at this hour and all looked interesting! We decided to share a slice of the pepperoni and banana pepper pizza as the slices were large and we didn't want to spoil dinner with us having a late lunch. We also got a chocolate chip cannoli as they looked good!
I will say this is a case of it looks better than it actually is. While the pizza and cannoli weren't bad, they weren't great either. I liked the thin crust and the overall taste of the pizza, but it was a bit spicy. Not sure if it was the pepperoni or the sauce or what additional was on this pizza to make it spicy, but it was not expected when we ordered. The cannoli was also just standard to me.
A good stop if you need something quick and good/standard to eat. -

Still very good. Sweet Chili Chicken seems to be the only slice I get here. 1 slice is approx 1.5 slices at most places-the Sweet Chili Chicken comes in at just under $6 though. A few bucks more you can get a plain cheese. I'm sure with toppings though, they get you for $20+. Still love this place for pre or post movie slices.

Omg. Sal's is so good. This location is more of a pick up your pizza and go kinda place. They have a wide variety of slices and whole pies. I usually get the cheese or veggie pizza. Which are always amazing. I enjoy Sal's a lot. I consider it one of the best pizza places in Boston. Definitely recommend

Sal's cheerful gal who was working behind the counter, waving at me through the window while dancing to Bruno Mar's 24 Karat song before I walked in, gets the stars.
Even though salad was the only menu item I could consume, she made every effort to check & see what could be beneficial. Not only did I end up with a extremely fresh made salad, I got two different salad dressings & an offer for a complimentary drink...I declined as soda pops aren't my thing. I was most appreciative of the abundance of salad dressings. :-)
As I paid, I told her I was heading to the park to enjoy my salad & she eagerly packaged it up like a mini picnic basket & sent me on my way. I was almost out the door before she resumed her dancing & bidding me a great day.
Such a enjoyable treat to see the Millenniums having fun while they work, even on a Saturday afternoon at 76 degrees & full of sunshine.
